Alright ladies it is time for the first installment of our fun with Hungry Girl. I promised we would begin with my favorite Hungry Girl feature Hot Couples.
One of my favorite things about the author Lisa Lillien is her creativity. She is always coming up with wonderful ways to eat and enjoy eating without feeling naughty about it. On her website www.hungrygirl.com she is constantly updating with wonderful ideas, tricks and good information on eating healthy, but still having fun. I decided to gather up a few of my favorite Hot Couples that Lisa Lillien created and share with you ladies.
1. Rice Krispies Treats Bar + Smucker’s Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves

This combination is heavenly. I am a huge Rice Krispies girl, but sometimes it is nice to add a little umph to it. Hello, in walks strawberry sugar free Smucker’s Preserves (Jelly) and it was love at first site. You can for sure use any of the other wonderful Smucker flavors if you are not a strawberry girl. Here is the amazing part of this wonderful treat. One Krispy treat with one tablespoon of Smuckers is only 100 calories! If you are counting weight watcher points, that would be 2 points. Enjoy!!
2. Jell-O Sugar Free Vanilla Pudding Snack + Canned Pure Pumpkin

When Lisa Lillien created this combo I literally wept pure joy. Do you like pumpkin pie? You will love this sweet combination then. If you take a half cup of the pumpkin and mix in some Splenda (any sweetener), nutmeg or cinnamon and mix to your liking I promise you it tastes like pumpkin pie. The other wonderful thing about this treat is that pumpkin is FULL of fiber. It is so very good for you and really fills you up. I always have about 5 cans of pumpkin on hand in my kitchen. These two amazing treats together are only 100 calories and 2 weight watcher points. Yum Yum!!
3. Dreyer’s/Edy’s Loaded Cookies ‘N Cream + Smucker’s Sugar Free Strawberry Topping

Cold Stone Creamery is overrated and full of FAT, but when these two lovebirds found one another I found myself saying Cold Stone who. My favorite brand of ice cream has got to be the Dreyer’s Fully loaded. They also come in many other wonderful flavors and literally are loaded with candy and if you stick to the ½ cup serving not bad for you at all. Why not be even more adventurous and add some sugar free Smuckers to go with it. This ends up equaling Orgasmic flavors!! The best part is that one serving of ice cream with two tablespoons of Smuckers is only 135 calories and 3 weight watcher points. WOWJ
4. Newman’s Own Lighten Up Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing + Mann’s Broccoli Cole Slaw

This is one of my favorite couplings. I literally eat this everyday as a side dish with dinner. I actually really like the spray dressings you can find in all stores with 11 sprays being only 10 calories or so, but whatever dressing you choose make sure it is light because dressing can be a scary thing and make salad as bad as eating a double quarter pounder. I like to take about a cup of the cole slaw with 2 tablespoons of dressing and add salt and pepper, and this ends up being only 60 calories and 1 weight watcher point. Holy Moly!!
5. Quaker Peanut Butter Mini Delights + Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme

This coupling makes me sweat. This is so yummy and so fun to eat. You will heart it for life. If you are not a fan of peanut butter there are many other wonderful flavors of Mini Delights to choose from. Open up a single pack of these yummies and spoon 1.5 tablespoons of marshmallow cream and dip away. I personally would rather dip than take the time to make little sandwiches, but if you are more patient then go for it. This lovely treat only comes to 120 calories and 3 weight watcher points.
I hope everyone tries one of these wonderful treats. These hot couples are a match made in heaven. For more wonderful hot couplings feel free to check them out at www.hungrygirlcom
Stay tuned for my next Hungry Girl installment on my top 10 favorite Hungry Girl recipes! Until then be sure to introduce these hot couples together in your kitchen
