Several of you are interested in getting rid of your old clothes, but do not know how to sell on eBay. I recently wrote a blog series, outlining the basic steps of “how to” sell on eBay. But what about those of you who don’t have time to take pictures, list, and sell your unwanted or used clothes on eBay? Life can be a bit hectic as is, not to mention many of you women have husbands, kids and a full time job! No worries, Cayla is here, and willing to help you!
I have spoken with the Admins, and asked their permission to start collecting items from anyone and everyone interested, and do the selling for you guys! Yep, you heard me right, all you have to do is clean out your closet, and ship me your clothes, and other watnot’s that you no longer use, and wish to sell on eBay. I will take the pictures, list, and ship your items under my eBay and paypal account. (Just so you know, I have 100% positive feedback on my eBay sellers account, and I have been selling for well over a year now). Once a month, I will e-mail Kamie with a total amount of RTCash to put in each of the participants RTC accounts. For example, if Erica sells 20 dollars worth of things on eBay that month, I will e-mail Kamie my paypal information, so she can put 20 dollars in RTCash into Erica’s account. This amount will depend on how many, if any, items you sale on eBay.
I believe that this approach will work better than you guys trying to start from scratch and sell on your own. Not saying that you cannot do that, but many people do not buy from sellers who do already have an established seller feedback, etc. I also understand that many of you are too busy to list your items, which is why I am offering you this option
I am also going to figure up a percentage that I will receive, (more than likely, it will be no more than 20%) for doing this for you. After all, I am taking time out of my busy college girl schedule to do you this favor! I think this is going to be a great way to make some extra money for RTC, so start cleaning out those closets, and finding some things to sell!
Here are some guidelines:
1. Once you have some items you want to sell, e-mail me at: crcamp88@gmail.com and I will give you my address. I suggest using your RTC boxes to ship your things (if you have a good bit of items). This will save you money.
2. You will be responsible for paying for the shipping, but I will take care of the rest once it gets to me. You can choose whichever shipping method you desire, I am in no hurry to get your items, so feel free to save yourself money, and choose the cheapest shipping you can get
3. Make sure that you do not send me items that are stained, holey, or completely horrible condition. These will not sell on eBay, I can assure you. If there is a minor defect, such as signs of wear at the bottom of a pair of jeans, this should not be a problem, just as long as it is not horrible looking. I will be sure to take pictures of minor defects such as these, so that the buyers have a thorough description of the item.
4. If there is a certain price that you would like on your item, please write it down and put it in with the package, and I will take notice to it once I receive the goodies.
5. Please do not ask me every day if your items have sold, I will let you know what day of the month that you will be receiving RTCash for your sales, so on that day, you will find out if you have sold anything or not
6. If your items do not sell, it is up to you what you would like me to do with them. I can give them to a local charity organization, or ship them back to you. Just be sure to e-mail me what you would like for me to do.
7. Your items will be listed for 30 days each. I will most likely set a specific date each month that I must have your items, that way I can list everyone’s on the same day, and they will end the same day. This will be less confusing, and easier for me to keep a total of how much money everyone has made each month.
8. There is no limit as to how many things you can send me, but I do ask that you only send me things once a month. I will list each months items on the same day, and once that 30 day listing is over, I will list the next months items.
9. If you by chance remember the retail value of your clothes, items, etc, please write that down as well, and send it to me with your package. This will help when I go to list the items. Also, write down the amount of wear of the items. For example, if they are new, never worn, but without tags, I will need to know that.
10. I will not sell RTC clothes. Only clothes/items that you have acquired at places other than RTC, that you either no longer wear or use. Keep in mind, I am doing this so that you can make more money for RTC, not make money by using RTC items
11. I will send you a receipt with the total items that you sold, how much they were sold for, etc, at the end of each month. I will also print out the paypal transactions, so that you can have a document stating how much the item sold for. I know, you are probably thinking “Cayla, we trust you, honey”; but I feel this will help both you and I feel more at ease about the buying and selling of your items
**Begin your spring cleaning, ladies! Let’s make some RTCash!**
Please give me you feedback on things that I can add or do for you all that would better accommodate your needs. As of right now, I think that a fair rate for me to charge to do this would be about 15% of your overall profit for each month. If that is unreasonable, please let me know. I want to be fair
