This is the 5th or so month (maybe 4th? can’t rightly remember) that my eBay store, chickchatclothes, has been up and running. If you are new to RTC, and do not know already, I sell new and used goodies for chick chatters, each month, to help them earn a little RTCash. My store is improving each and every month, and I am excited to say that thus far, chickchatclothes has brought in a gross sum of $1,432.00 just in the past 120 days!

Now don’t let this number fool you, there are fees involved, however, even after accounting for those fees, the overall sum of sales is quite impressive.

Here is how my eBay store works:

• You send me your unwanted things, and if I receive them by the end of the month, I will list them in my store the first day for the following month.

• If you send me your box of goodies, and I do not receive it until say… the 31st of the month, more than likely, I will not have time to list all of your things by the next day, so in this case, expect to see them in my store the month after.

• You can send me anything from clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, electronics, accessories, and more; just as long as the items are still in good condition, and do not show obvious signs of wear and tear.

• I will price your items according to the condition, value, what other similar items are selling for on eBay at the time and what I think they will sell for, judging from my past eBay experience. If there is a certain price you would prefer an item sell for, let me know and I will honor your request.

• Your items will have 3 months in my store, before I take them out, and either send them back to you, or donate them. Whichever you choose. Sometimes, I will hold certain items, and re-list them a few months later, if they are things that are more appropriate for certain seasons, etc.

• I charge 20% commission, in addition to the eBay final value fee. The final value fee is 12%. Here is how I calculate this:

• Item sells for: 22.99 + 4.95 shipping (I already calculate shipping before hand)

• eBay fee: 22.99 x 12% = 2.76

• Subtract: 22.99 – 2.76 = 20.23

• eBay listing fee: .35 (flat rate fee for my listings, because I use auctiva- however, you have to pay for the listing fee, because I pay for the 10.99 a month to use this software )

• Subtract: 20.23 – .35 = 19.88

• My commission: 19.88 x 20% = 3.98

• Total due to you: 19.88 – 3.98 = 15.90

• Basically, you would be paying for all of these things above, minus my commission, if you were to sell them yourself on eBay. So, having someone else do it for you (me!) for just the small price of 20% is quite the deal, if you ask me!

• I recently started paying my ebayers as soon as they have an item sell. So, this means you may see RTCash in your account at random, unexpected times (sounds fun, huh?) However, if you would rather me pay all at once, at the end of each month, I can do this, too.

• I pay only in RTCash; if there is a month that you absolutely NEED to be paid through paypal, or any other alternative method, I am willing to compromise.
