So, most of you scored some pretty exciting denim during the Fortune event day; and although I am tapped out on denim right now, I managed to get my fix as well– in the dresses department Wanna see?!
Fortune Collection by Abbi Ferrin Jade dress: Red, M
I seriously love this dress. It is everything I could have hoped for, plus some. The fabric is unlike anything I have ever felt before. It is soft, silky, but slightly textured- and drapes over the body perfectly. The fit is a *tad* large, however, I think this dress would look stunning belted with some heels. I love the pockets, they are barely noticeable, unless you have your hands in them; but they add just a little flirty personality to the dress. The neck line is also adorable- it is not too revealing, which is nice. I love every single aspect of this dress. the length is short, but I think it balances out well with the slightly over-sized fit, and the peasant neckline and cap sleeves. And of course, the pockets tie everything together, making it the perfect dress for me.
I would say that if you are interested in buying this dress- you can definitely size down. However, sizing down may make it even shorter- so keep that in mind. I am happy with my regular size, because it is comfortable, and great for a causal outfit- and I can always dress it up with a high waist belt, if I want to accent my curves and create a sexy outfit out of it
VaVa Buque babydoll dress: Gold, S
I saw this dress- and immediately new I HAD to have it. My school colors are black and gold, and I am always in the market for cute outfits to wear tailgating and to homecoming during football season. This dress is perfect for the occasion. It is casual but cute, and I can add a pair of black leggings under it, for the cooler nights, while still maintaining my school spirit! I sized down in this, because my size was not available- and I think it fits great. The top is the only part that is slightly snug- however, the padding in the bust allows for me to go bra-less, which works well- because I don’t think I would have been able to fit in the top if I had a bra on, anyways haha.
The rest of the dress drapes nicely, and the length is a tad short, but, like I said- I plan to wear leggings with this- so that will remedy any issues. I am really glad that I bought this dress- It is unique, and fun, and I cannot wait to wear it this football season!
Aude dress: Aqua, 2
This dress was gifted to me by none other than our very own MyChau I remember when this dress first appeared on RTC, I was broke as a joke- and although I wanted it, I forced myself to stay put on the bench. Not long after this, I received an e-mail from MyChau- telling me that I had an early birthday present on its way to me, and it was Aqua. It took me a minute to realize what she was referring to, but once I did, I was in complete shock! I could not believe that someone would do something so nice for me! It was seriously the nicest thing.. ever.
So, I received my dress, a few days before my birthday- and I absolutely love it. The fit is slightly large, I probably could have used a 1, but I really don’t care haha. I don’t mind my dresses fitting slightly on the loose side, plus- the sheerness of this dress would not be a problem if it were form fitting. I like to wear a bandeau bra under this dress, because it is a bit low cut, and sheer, like I mentioned before- however, this is the perfect dress to wear as a bathing suit cover up, too. It is very light weight, and so so so comfortable. Sometimes I put it on when I get home from work, and just wear it around the house like a night gown haha. It is a very versatile, basic dress- that I absolutely adore. The fiance loves it, too. He thinks it is uber sexy
Thanks, MyChau! You are the best, girl!!
So, that is it for now- gotta take more pictures of things that I forgot I had haha; as well as take some pics of my shoes– which requires me to paint my toenails, because they look absolutely AWFUL right now. Stay tuned for more!
