Who remembers Dittos? Well, at the risk of ‘dating’ myself – as if it isn’t already too late for that – I have extremely fond and vivid memories of my first pair of red dittos. I am sure I wore those jeans until they were worn out because, I recall that I spent most of the 9th grade in them! My pair looked similar to these:

Flash forward a few years (okay, okay, maybe more than a few) and here they come again! My first thought was “Why?”. I mean, don’t we all agree that some styles are best left ‘unreserected’ (harem pants come to mind…). However, leave it to Frankie B’s Daniella Clark to bring Dittos Jeans from the past into the present. In 2007, the Dittos Jeans line was relaunched, creating a full new line by “encompassing the classic cuts that made Dittos famous and building on those pieces to create a full collection which is both decidedly modern and also romantic with a strong vintage perspective.”

Here are a few selections from the new line:

…and my wish list Dittos!! I love these skinnies!
And, since no denim line can make it without celeb support. Here are Ashlee Simpson and Emma Roberts sporting dittos.

Of course, no denim line has a chance of making it unless Jennifer Alba is seen on the street in them…

At the risk of looking like a complete idiot next to all the fine celebrities, I decided I would post the pictures I took in my favorite pair (well, only pair… so far) of dittos. I don’t wear belts with jeans hardly ever, but somehow these jeans just screamed belt, so there you are. This pair is low waist, although I have an interest in trying one of the high waist dittos, too. I was just not brave enough the first time around. Also, I should tell you that the quality of the denim is excellent – soft, does not stretch with wear, fine stitching, great butt lift, etc. The belt is Lucky Brand Jeans and the top is, of course, Zensei.
