RedTagCrazy: I Need Engagement Ring Advice!

April 16th, 2009 by Aranda in Aranda, Red Tag Crazy, anything goes, red tag crazy blog

Ok, so I’m having one of those “most important events” occur in my life at the moment. I figured since the majority of RTC is full of women, married or not, I could get great advice from you guys! So through it to me, every comment will equally important as I make this decision.  Well to me it is important to me, some people say its just a ring. To me its a symbol of love, loyalty, commitment, family, faith and one day become a family heirloom. So its very important to me that this ring is fabulous! There is one problem: $$$! Now I don’t want to give you guys the wrong idea, my bf is buying the ring and will be purposing sometime, I don’t know when. Oh this is exciting! Anyways, he has a great job and as the economy is turning around the more money he makes which good;the bad thing is that the ring that I absolutely love is around $8,000. Not particularly in his price range; he says he can buy a car for that-yeah a cheap car! So I’m stuck in a dilemma:

Twilight: What’s the hype?

April 11th, 2009 by Aranda in Aranda, Red Tag Crazy, Reviews, anything goes, red tag crazy blog

If you haven’t heard about the book series, now movie series, Twilight then you must be hiding in a closet everyday since the uproar has occurred. This has become a world wide epidemic or pandemic should I say. Nonetheless, the books may be about high school students but really they are written for all ages. Some older people may say (like my mom for example) that they are for young people but they aren’t. You become so engaged in the characters and their lives that you just have to know what is happening next! I recommend this series for anyone that wants an excellent book or series to read. You can stop reading after the first book, Twilight, or you can keep going through the series, so you don’t feel like you have to finish, because you really don’t.  Don’t have time? You’ll make time, that’s how good they are! So lets see why these books are all the rage:

What to do on a rainy day

March 26th, 2009 by Aranda in Aranda, How To..., Online Shopping, Red Tag Crazy, anything goes, shopping

This is something I’m still trying to figure out myself. I absolutely hate rainy days! Here on the East Coast when we have rain, it usually likes to stay for days; right now we have a system that has been here since Tuesday and will not leave till Sunday. I know you guys in Seattle say oh thats nothing! But to us that aren’t used to long rainy days it puts a damper on plans and our emotions. I notice myself getting depressed during these kind of days… just wishing for one glimmer of the sun just to peak through the clouds. -Usually that does not happen. So is there anything that we can do to get us out of this state of depression???

* Spend your time indoors. Go see a great movie, go roller-skating (we probably hadn’t done this since we were kids, but its fun to see if you still have skills and watch your friends fall around). Curl up with a blanket and a good book; I have just started on the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer, I”m a late bloomer on this series but these are definitely interesting and I recommend this series for anyone. If you have children, play with them; try a new craft project, its always nice to add some new artwork to the fridge! Do something that you’ve always wanted to do, but you didn’t have the time. Go to the gym, get a massage, go shopping, surf the Internet, try an indoor rock climbing wall. No matter what it is, do something that will keep your interest and think less about what the weather is doing outside. You can still have fun even though it looks miserable outside.

* Spend time with people you love. Whether its family, friends or coworkers. When you are around people that make you feel good, the ”feel good” receptors in your brain go off. This is the part of the brain that creates orgasms; so when you get really happy or excited its like you are having your own personal, miniature  Os and no one else knows about that you have this incredible feeling! Its different you know than a sexual O, because you’re not being sexually aroused just mentally. Same goes for a piece of chocolate – if you’re ever bored at the office, start chomping on some chocolate. preferabally dark chocolate, that way it has added benefit to your health and you’re not adding on extra calories. Back to being around your loved ones; venting to your girlfriends is a stress reliever, so grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, sit down and vent! Can you believe that gossiping has the same effect? Even though we all know gossiping is something we shouldn’t do and everyone says “oh no, I never do that!” – they are liars! Everyone gossips, even men. Gossiping actually makes us feel good! I don’t recommend this but it has to be said because its a fact! Just watch what you say and say something thats nice if you’re going to talk about someone.

So get off the couch, go do something thats fun even though misery is all around outside, you can still find something to do that will uplift your spirits and have fun inside!

What Kind of Shopper Are You?

March 24th, 2009 by Aranda in Aranda, anything goes

Everyone shops… even men, although your most manly of men will declare that the word shopping is not even in their vocabulary.. later you find them in the Bass Pro Shop. Have you ever seen anyone in the store browsing for atleast 20 minutes before they pick up something or others who will study the brands, tags, sizes and be in such an awe with an item and then they drop it and walk quickly out the store? Or the complete opposite, the ones who look at an item for 5 seconds, grabs it and goes looking for the next? We all have seen these people out in the stores and you fit into ones of these categories also. Have you ever wandered what kind of shopper you are? I have complied a list of people that may help you to identify yourself; maybe you want a change; if you do.. pick another category and ATTEMPT to CHANGE! Shopping for some is like an addiction and changing your habits could cause bodily harm to themselves or others… beware!

General Rules for Fashion

March 5th, 2009 by Aranda in Aranda, Red Tag Crazy, anything goes, fashion, red tag crazy blog

So now, you have all these clothes from RTC and you don’t know how to piece them together with existing and new items; especially for night time. Evenings out are thought of as a time to dress up- get glamorized- be fashionable, look and feel sexy all the same time. Unfortunately, at night is when I have seen the most fashion mishaps around the East Coast; whether this is because they don’t know how or they don’t have time to put a look together, or simply do not care if they look like the misfit with the fashion police chasing after them.

In order to prevent this, I have decided to come up with a few general rules/tips that you can apply to almost any outfit.
