Working out, doing the same thing each day, nothing changing? Here are some simple ways to boost your calorie burn, therefore boosting your weight loss. Each of these ways has been proven to be efficient in increasing weight loss.
A very common issue with young women today is that they are “skinny fat.” We live in a time where manual labour is rarely done, machines and computers take care of everything for us. Therefore women who are blessed with naturally being thin never feel the need to work out and end up “skinny fat.” This problem is also common amoung women who diet without also working out and with women who do purely cardio as their exercise.
Your ideal body weight cannot be described with a “magic number.” This “magic number” does not exist.
I’m sure you’ve heard the “100lbs for 5ft, 5lbs each inch after that” rule. This is not necessarily ideal. Ideal body weight varies person to person. The ideal weight is ultimately where you are happy with yourself. However, most people are not, and this will be discussed in a later blog. For now, if you must have a “magic number” it would be more like a “magic range.” To get this range, take that rule above, and subtract 10 from the number, then take the original number again and add 15. For example at 5ft3 my “ideal range” would be 105lbs – 130lbs.
But, I stress, do not take this too seriously.
Body composition is the best way to determine health. There are many ways to find out your body fat and lean body mass weight. And I will review a few of these ways. But first, what is your body composition, well it is exactly that, what your body is composed of. When having it tested you are measured for body fat and lean body mass, your lean body mass includes your weight from your muscle, water weight, bone mass, and all of the other nasty stuff floating around inside of you. Now on to ways to test it, what they tell you, and accuracy…
Working out…how we all love it, okay, maybe not, but we love the results it gives us! Now the only question is where to do it…
