Hot or Not? Volume 3 – “Traditional Style”

For this volume of “Hot or Not?” I want to focus on a very trendy style of clothing that is being worn by the masses. It’s what I consider “traditional” style clothing. I call it this as I see it based off of “traditional” style tattoos from Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins. More recently, Ed Hardy has put this style of clothing on the map and it can now been seen everywhere worn by everyone from kids to celebrities. Whether found on clothing, hats, shoes or accessories the tigers, nautical designs, roses and banners make a bold statement, but is it a fashionable one?

First things first, obviously, to rid -them- of liability, you have to fill out some paperwork saying you’re old enough, sane enough, and healthy enough to get a tattoo.

Now that you’ve decided on the artist for your new tattoo, now you have to decide where to put it. Although this is all really a matter of personal preference, there are some things that can possibly help you in making this decision.

The question I hear the most is “Does it hurt?”. Well, as a general rule, the more fat there is in the area, and the less nerves close to the surface, the better off you’ll be. However, there are no hard and fast rules about this subject, but based on various opinions, here are some ideas:

If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, but aren’t very familiar with the process, you may be a little bit wary – to the point that you wont get one. Maybe you’ve heard a bad story or two, seen a few tattoos that were less than “works of art” or you are just plain scared, I’m here to help you ease your fears.

Contest #0: Tats of Chick Chat

Alright, ladies, here are the basics: we have ten players, and each has posted a photo of their tattoo and their favorite RTC item to date. That’s what you’ll see first, followed by a list of the 10 players. Email tatsofchickchat@gmail.com with the name/nickname of the person, followed by the number assigned to their image/item. Somewhere in the email, be sure to mention which one you think is the “most original.”

Make sure that you send your answers with the email you use for your RTC account!

The “most original” gets $10 in RTC cash, and the person who gets the most correct gets $10 in RTC Cash. You have until Tuesday, April 14th to get your answers in!
