Contest #0: Tats of Chick Chat

Alright, ladies, here are the basics: we have ten players, and each has posted a photo of their tattoo and their favorite RTC item to date. That’s what you’ll see first, followed by a list of the 10 players. Email tatsofchickchat@gmail.com with the name/nickname of the person, followed by the number assigned to their image/item. Somewhere in the email, be sure to mention which one you think is the “most original.”

Make sure that you send your answers with the email you use for your RTC account!

The “most original” gets $10 in RTC cash, and the person who gets the most correct gets $10 in RTC Cash. You have until Tuesday, April 14th to get your answers in!

Upcoming Blog Game: The Tats of Chick Chat

UPDATE: We’re extending the deadline – you now have until APRIL 3 @ 7PM to send me your images. ALSO! We’ll be giving out $10 in RTC Cash to the person who gets the most correct AND $10 to the girl with the tattoo voted “most original.”

You’ve got the clothes, the look, the hair, the chick chat girlfriend on speed dial to make sure you’ll get the next new item. What else do you have? Well, it turns out that many of us ladies also have a tat or two. So here’s what we’re going to do, just for a little fun: match the tat + favorite RTC item to the girl.

So, I have to admit a guilty pleasure: I LOVE green nail polish. I honestly love just about anything green, but few things get me more giddy than spotting a green bottle in any store, any brand. If you’ve spent much time looking at polish, you probably know that the greens are pretty rare. Only recently have brands been breaking out of the red/nude/pink mode and getting into some truly innovative colors. And my favorite, clearly, are the greens. Let’s get started:

Nail Polishes Every Girl Should Own: Nudes & Light Pink

Blame it on the recession. Blame it on your boss. While your toes are supporting the dusty cremes that are so in this spring, your nails are left to be “office appropriate.” I hear you, ladies. I hear you. But these don’t have to be blah and boring – there are some really great nude and light pinks out there. Besides, if you’re really bummed, a quick coat of that latest deep purple over your nude nails at 4pm on Friday will have you happy hour ready, but I’m hoping after this post, you won’t feel the need.

I should begin with two disclaimers: I’m not a fan of sheer nail polishes. The ones i recommend will always give you an opaque finish after two coats, unless I mention otherwise.

Also, I apologize for the term “nude” to those in our midst who are of a non-caucasian ethnicity.

You’ve got the perfect outfit, the perfect shoes. You’ve done your hair, hated it, and started over three times. You’re getting ready to walk out the door when you look down, notice your ratty nails, and sigh. What do you do? Walk out the door with confidence – that’s what you do. But when you get home, you take some time to take care of those nails, which are, in many ways, windows to your sanity. Ever seen a woman rocking a power suit with bitten nails and cracked cuticles? I can’t tell you how many times that was me – but it won’t be again. I’ll do a blog in the future on taking care of your nails – for now, I want to jump right into the good stuff: colors every girl should have in their stash. We’ll start with the ultimate classic: Red.

The fact that I read insatiably should come as no surprise to anyone – I’m essentially paying A LOT of money for the privilege of reading around the clock. But let me tell you a little secret: I LOVE it. Almost as much as I love shopping for good deals.
